Cafe with dog
You can bring your pet dog into the store. We will carefully guide you to the appropriate seat and route to ensure a calm atmosphere.
Interacting with Therapy Dogs
When interacting with dogs, the health of the dogs is the top priority. Staff will guide you on the appropriate distance and how to interact with them, so even first-time visitors can feel at ease.

We do not force dogs to interact with us. We provide an environment where they can rest when they want to, and we adjust our schedules to suit their physical condition.
2｜Even first-time visitors won't get lost
We will guide you step by step from reception to how to spend your time. Even if you are not used to dogs, you can ask any questions you may have on the spot.
3｜A comfortable distance
We will flexibly adjust operations depending on the level of congestion to ensure a comfortable experience for both those with dogs and those simply wanting to interact with them.
For first-time users: How to use
Three simple steps.
STEP 1 | Reception
First, the receptionist will confirm the purpose of your visit (bringing a dog/interacting with the dog), and then you will receive a brief explanation of how to spend time inside the store and important points to note.
STEP 2 | Order
We ask that you use the cafe as a cafe. Please choose from the menu with at least one order per person.
STEP 3 | Maera's Time
Please take your time with Maera. Our staff will monitor the dog's condition and provide support during interactions.
Rules for interacting with dogs (requests for dogs)
Rules exist for the dogs' wellbeing.
Don't chase/surround (leave enough distance for the dog to escape)
Do not suddenly touch the area around the face (to avoid startling the child)
Only pick up your pet when instructed by a staff member
Please be considerate of others when taking photos (flash photography is not permitted)
Keep an eye on your dog when it is resting

Cafe Maera is run by the Tochigi Animal Therapy Association, an NPO. Our goal is to create a space where people can interact with therapy dogs in a relaxed atmosphere, and to increase everyday connections between people.
Your use and cooperation in the store will help support the creation of a good environment for therapy dogs and the continuation of our visiting activities.
Specifically, the funds will be used to manage the dogs' health, provide hygiene products and training environments, and cover the costs of travel and preparation for activities, thereby establishing a foundation for continuing activities.
In addition, our association has been officially certified as an "animal-assisted organization" by the donation platform "Animal Donation (AniDone)."
Your support will help us ensure that we can provide "peace of mind" to those who need to interact with animals.
